Dermaplaning: professional vs. at home treamtent

While an at home dermaplane can be nice for the convenience, it’s not as effective as a professional dermaplaning when it comes to removing layers of dead cells and buildup in the pores.

The blade you are using at home most likely is just barely skimming the surface of the skin, removing the small tiny hairs from your face but not much else. And maybe that might be all that you want it for. But in my opinion, if you’re gonna go through the effort of dermaplaning your skin you might as well get the full benefit.

With professional dermaplaning, I use a medical-grade scalpel that is sharper and more precise really allowing the blade to come into contact with the skin, removing dead cells, flaky dead skin, and build up in the pores.

Dermaplaning the skin provides a multitude of benefits:
Instantly will
✔️smooth skin
✔️ even skin tone
✔️ remove dead skin and dull appearance
✔️ removes annoying hair and peach fuzz allowing for better penetration of skincare and smoother makeup application
✔️clears pores reducing breakouts

Repeat services overtime will:
✔️Reduce fine lines
✔️Reduce hyperpigmentation
✔️Reduce acne scaring
✔️reduce pore size

You can’t beat a professional dermaplane. Which is why I’ve added more dermaplaning options to my menu so coming every 4-6 weeks can be attainable for everyone!

Acne Treatment: professional vs. at home

When treating inflamed, non-inflamed, or combination acne, professional enzymes and chemical peels speed up the results that you’re looking for.

The main difference between a professional peel vs. an over the counter exfoliating treatment are the professional ones are more highly concentrated and made with specific ingredients that help reduce acne and inflammation at a much faster rate than at home products do.

Professional peels remove the many layers built up of dead skin cells that are clogging pores. Once these dead cells are chemically removed, the skin is cleared of these barriers and is better able to absorb your at home skin care routines optimizing the efficacy of your home products and reducing amount of active acne.

Let me help guide you on your skin care journey!

Microneedling vs. Chemical Peel

Which one is for you?

Well the answer is easy…. BOTH!

There is rarely a skin type that cannot benefit from these advance facial treatments. But let’s break it down so you know better which is the best option for your skin based on your desired results.

Mincroneedling is for anyone and everyone as long as you do not have active acne on the skin. Microneedling can increase collagen production by up to 400% after only six months of treatment!!!

Collagen and elastin is what keeps our skin firm, tight, and smooth. As we age, we lose 1-2% of collagen with each year of life. So treatment like this will benefit anyone who wants to keep their skin renewed and reduce appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Chemical Peels come in all different types of acids, percentages, and variations.

If you wanted to reduce acne or reduce dullness and bring the glow back to your skin, we would use a low percentage peel in the treatment room. It’s likely your skin would not peel from this, but it will force your skin to turn over removing dead cells that are accumulating on the skin, clogging your pores, and making your skin look dull.

Others who are looking to reduce fine lines and sun spots/discoloration, we would use a higher percentage chemical peel in which your skin is likely to peel or flake heavily from.

Which one do you wanna try?
